SlumArt

Slum Art has truly transformed lives in underserved communities through the power of art and education. Their commitment to empowering children and teenagers with limited resources is inspiring. The innovative learning spaces they establish, like the Pet Bottle School, provide a platform for self-expression, creativity, and education. I led the development of SlumArt software, where I managed a team of 6 engineers and served as the Lead Software Engineer. I was responsible for building the backend infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency. My role involved close collaboration with the frontend team to create a seamless and user-friendly payment system, which significantly enhanced the software's accessibility. In addition to overseeing the project’s overall progress, I actively contributed to the development and deployment of various updates, driving the software from its initial launch to its current version, v3.0. I also spearheaded the creation of an admin dashboard that provides comprehensive tracking of the progress and lessons offered to the kids, ensuring that the software meets its educational objectives. Throughout the project, I focused on maintaining high standards of code quality, implementing best practices, and fostering a collaborative team environment, which resulted in the successful delivery of a robust and impactful software solution.
